I can't say I played to many of the Star Wars games but definitely watched the movies. I used to be a much harsher critic on I, II & III but as they age I enjoy them even though the plot has more holes than my street after a long winter of plows tearing it up!

@Riverstorm oh, that young anakin, the poor boy is terrible, i feel more that it wasn't him as much as his script that let ep I down so much,

I agree. My expectations were a bit high back then but not so much now. I figure a bad Star Wars movie is better than one of the wife's you-promised-to-watch-rom-coms. :)

haha.... so right!
oh for 2 years I had to go with my missus, and my daughter! I think the last time I went to the cinema was "a fault in the starts" or something like that!
oh how I regretted that! the only one I can say I'll watch is "silver linings playbook". as I relate to the mental health side, and find it refreshing that someone has made some parts funny but also kinda informative! -
I find enjoyment out of watching each film but I can't stand the original trilogy remasters. My dad and uncle used to geek out on some Star Wars so inherently it was passed on to me. I loved collecting the Kenner toys from back then. If only I'd known they'd be worth something now. I'm not gonna lie, I had a Jar Jar Binks shirt. That was before the movie actually came out though and I got swept up in the hype. Pod racing, Darth Maul and Qui-gon was where it was at though. I'm still on the fence about The Force Awakens. I'm a little disappointed in the direction they took the story but overall I look forward to where they go with the next film. My niece and nephew are into it so it's nice to see the tradition carry on.
As far as games go my fondest memories were playing Star Wars on the first Gameboy. I would play it non-stop wherever I was and carried a fanny pack full of batteries. The first games I owned were Tetris (of course), Star Wars, Super Mario Land and Frogger. Growing up I never owned a Nes. I'd play with friends at their house and I remember this one kid had an older brother who was a pro gamer in our young little minds. He never left his house and would read Nintendo Power and rent games all the time only to finish them within two/three days time. So anytime I went over to their house we'd mostly just sit and watch him play but I got to see how a lot of games played out. I was just a little kid though so I didn't care. Every now and then he'd let us play Ninja Turtles or something with two players. I remember one time he broke a kid's nose for throwing rocks at me and his brother. Anyway sorry for rambling on about the good old days.
