Besides the difference in prices I often see the different "Made In XXXX" comments in the product description.
So if I am not mistaken the whole Raspberry stuff was developed in the UK, right?
I ordered my Pi 3 at a Chinese online store and when I received it the original Raspberry Pi box says "Made in UK" and they put a sticker on that same box saying "Made In China".
Now I was searching for a original RS power supply and found a store here in Japan and they claim their Pi's are "Made In Japan".

I know that almost everything is "Made In China" these days and maybe "Developed" in UK or Japan or whatever country.
So I think what I would like to know is are there any cheap knock offs of the Raspberry Pi's out there or are they all the same no matter if Made In China, Made In UK, Made In Japan etc..?

The Raspberry Pis have been made in the UK for a while. As demand grew, they did add additional manufacturing in China. The Pi 3 is also made in Japan.

My original B+ was made in the UK. Not sure about my Pi2 and my Pi3 came from China. All seem to have equal quality, so it's just extra capacity to keep up with global demand.
