    Hiya folks,

I'm waiting on my raspberry pi 3 to be delivered, and I'm new to it all. I'm very excited to start trying out multiple projects, but the first project will be retropie :)

I'm intending on buying a super nintendo usb controller, but until then I was thinking of using one of my PS3 controllers. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how easy it is to connect a PS3 controller to a raspberry pi 3 model B?

    Thanks

@optimuschrisss Very easy. You connect it (I use a usb cable) and boot your Pi. You follow this guide and it works. Then you follow this guide to become an expert.

I assume its not a cream-pie right? (NO...NO! I have NOT been seeing those sites at all!) LOL

Aside from the bad joke. You won't regretting buying the RPi3, I have more fun on my Retropie than on the PS4. I 'm not exaggerating but this is the coolest electronic device I ever bought so far. I don't know what kind of systems you like but I can recommend you to try out MAME/Neo Geo, especially if you have friends coming over it's extremely fun to play those games.

Just one good advice, if you managed to configure everything like you wanted it to be just make a backup of the config files, it's going to make things much easier if you ever need to reinstall RetroPie again. Also get the largest SD card you can afford. I'm using a 64GB card and I only have 9GB free.

Also Kodi is a huge bonus. You can stream TV shows, movies, live TV in HD quality. However you do need to install some plugins to do this but you can search on Google for the best movies plugins or the best live tv plugins etc. (we're not allowed to talk about that... sssttt).

@optimuschrisss Which consoles are you to planning to spend your social life on :D Yeah I know RetroPie is very awesome. I don't even touch my PS4 anymore since I got the Pi.
