Hello all, just setup my raspberry pi 2 with retropie v. 4.1 and i am having issues with 2 psp games. I have Killzone Liberation and WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011, they load up and i am able to make selections through the different menus but when i go to play them they start to stutter and cant play. I also have 3 SNES games and so far they seem ok (only tested using a keyboard). I have also overclocked the raspberry pi to 1ghz via retropie. Am i to assume that the raspberry pi cant handle psp rom games? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@adinis there isnt anything you can do about it. The pi isnt capable of running most of the psp games at full speed or anywhere close to it. The pi3 can run ape escape good with an occassional hiccup. Not sure about the pi 2 which probably needs to be overclocked.

@edmaul69 I guess I will have to give the pi3 a try then and go from there. Or is there a list of games that are compatible with pi2/pi3? Thanks

Even Pi3 is hit or miss for PSP. Usually a miss for the games Ive wanted to play.

But, you do know there are two PSP emulators in retropie... right?

@Concat since I'm new to retropie, how do I know what emulator is being used and how can I choose a different one? Would it be simple enough, or does it involve playing around with the code? Thanks

@adinis As a ROM is loading push a button on your controller when you see the runcommand box. This will take you into a menu.

Yeah, ppsspp is a good bit faster and more accurate than lr-ppsspp. Some games you can run well at 1080p, some will run certain sections well, some will just choke. Depends on the game.

                    Pi2 I have played:
Hotshots Tennis at 1080p full speed except when the camera zooms in on the tennis court.
Gurumin at 1080p, parts of town are very slow. Inside the house is full speed, as are most gameplay levels.

I can test more later. Will have to figure out how to use the USB rom location. Games are big. :D

Definitely use ppsspp instead of lr-ppsspp. But keep a keyboard handy. You can't exit to the menu with the joystick.
