Cross system search for games...

Hello,
I have seen several threads in this forum requesting a system-wide-search for games on a retropie (esp. for attrac mode).
At this very moment, a search is only showing results for the gamelist of the system being selected.Would it not be great to search for e.g. "Bombjack" and get a result window with all "Bombjack"-Versions for any system you own ?
And then being able to launch the game right out of the result window ?The threads I've found here have never been answered with a solution for this.

@SutterKane great question, I was thinking the same thing

@SutterKane That's not possible with the way EmulationStation currently works, but there are some very smart people looking into doing a complete overhaul of the way tags and filters work in ES, so this would be one of the things possible once it's done. No word on time frame though.
