I use and enjoy the following.

          Atari 2600
          Atari 7800
          NES
          SNES
          Sega MasterSystem
          Sega Genesis
Sega CD (Some real hidden gems here)
          Sega 32X
          Gameboy
          Gameboy Color
          Gameboy Advance
          Sega Game Gear
          Atari Lynx
          Playstation
          NEO GEO
          Sometimes DOSBOX

I would like to use the following, however I prefer nearly universal compatibility in emulators with minimal configuration and these emulators have limited compatibility for one reason or another, so I generally don't use them.

Sega Saturn (Insanely over-engineered hardware, difficult to emulate in general)
N64 (GPU heavy emulation workload on a weak Pi3 GPU, difficult to optimize for many games, I will not play N64 emu in low-res)
Dreamcast (Haven't tried with this one much, but I know the SH-4 outperforms the Pi3 CPU significantly with floating point math, so haven't even entertained the idea much, though I'm sure some games work ok)
3DO (I don't think there is much technical reason for this one not to work other than perhaps a lack of optimization for the platform, this emulator (4DO) works fairly well on a PC)

@sergioad I use MetaPixel. I was enamored with the original Pixel theme, but back then it didn't have it's Pixel-Meta counterpart, so I taught myself how to make themes so I could add metadata to the Pixel theme.

There wasn't really the space in Pixel to just add the data, so I had to create my own borders and backgrounds. That's why MetaPixel looks like Pixel, but is still a bit different. Rook was also kind enough to let me use his original Pixel icons.

I mainly just did it for myself, which is why it didn't support too many systems, but I figured others might like it so I put it up on GitHub.

I use pixel too but unlike you I gone for the original and added the old Carbom's scrolling sounds aming to give it a nice retro audio feedback.

The old Carbon had a scrolling sound similar to the joystick of an arcade being pushed an released quickly so I wanted to use it on Pixel since day one after I discovered it because both together creates a sense of an 8 bit arcade cabinet wich I wanted since RetroPie is by its own merits a retro gaming console and a glorified RetroArch frontend wich deserves a nostalgic but eye and ear candy theme that looks great and sounds great.

I am a person with low vision so I am more an auditive man and I love have auditive feedback wich is for you visual people like a nice UI, this is why I chosen pixel plus sounds, because I search a nice UI but also a nice auditive feedback and a retro style

@sergioad I never thought of it that way. I haven't added sound to any of my themes because it just kind of annoys me. I never thought about the fact that sounds could be helpful to some. I'll have to look into adding sounds to my next theme, and then going back and adding sound to my others when I fix them up for Video Previews.

(I'll probably have the sound option de-activated by default, but it's easy enough to activate if someone wants it.)

@mattrixk I think it is a great idea, many themes are not adding that option and I think it is a great form to make it more inmersive; if the sound anoys you you can try a non invasive sound like the ome on the new Carbon theme or im simplebigart (I love this theme too but has many unthemed systems like Amstrad CPC and ZX spectrum) and then give the user the choise to enable or disable them

The poll has had 80 responses so I thought I'd sort them for all to see. You'll notice ones like Megadrive/Genesis have both their combined total and their individual totals. I think this is good info to have.

Unsurprisingly, SNES, NES, PSX and Megadrive/Genesis are at the top of the list.

Here are the results so far:

                                SNES/Super Famicom - 81
                                Megadrive/Genesis - 80
                                NES/Famicom - 70
SNES - Super Nintendo Entertainment System - 66
                                NES - Nintendo Entertainment System - 60
                                PC Engine/TurboGraphx-16 - 52
                                PSX - PlayStation 1 - 48
                                Game Boy Advance - 42
                                Sega 32x/Mega 32x - 41
