Oldroom theme W.I.P. new 1.9 Beta + media packs

@hansolo77 Usually everybody have nointro romsets, so I made art with nointro names to fit with romset from the people.
Anyway, if you have nointro romsets you can also use my gamelist.xml if you want, or if you don't have your games scraped, but then you need to respect the paths for folders, or use a text editor to do a search and replace the paths.
If you have other romsets or filenames, then you need to use program like fatmatch to match the name of images and / or videos with your rom names and use your own gamelist with scraped metadata.
But all of this it's well explained on first post...
I'm scraping full romsets so if something it's missing it's because doesn't exist, anyway i'm taking some time building missing art not found on screenscraper or gamedatabase ( for example neo geo pocket).
@trixta like @hansolo77 told you, that problem it's fixed. If you read the credits, system art it's not mine, it's from litzoid (expet the one I created for atari lynx), I didn't pay attention to megaman but after a quick search on google it's a homebrew game for dreamcast named Mega man war of the past.

@Nismo Looking great!
-
Great work, thanks for that. Is there still a PSP (Playstation Portable) and NDS (Nintendo DS) section?
-
@Cybermen Not yet, i'm still working on the theme.
-
perfect ;-)
-
@Nismo Planning to upload snes snaps also?
Thanks for the snaps much appreciated!!
-
@Kischa of course.
-
hohommx over at the libretro forums has created Indoor overlays that reminds me of you oldroom theme.
Looks really nice.
-
@Nismo King! 😉
-
@Nismo Any plans to add the C64 and ColecoVision to the theme?

Nismo,
Just wanted to say thank you for this amazing theme. I've been using Launchbox and Hyperspin and never been happy with the stability of either. Loved RetroPie but it naturally wasn't as pretty. This theme makes it on par with them along with the videos and now it doesn't randomly screw up when I enter or exit games!
One quick question, do you have the themes without the generic blank boxes in the background? I only ask as I've tweaked the sizes and positions on some of your themes but that means the blank boxes show up behind it still. I'd love to not have those back there if at all possible.
Keep up the great work!

@Hubz Where did you place the boxes? I can upload some of them but I need to spend one evening to do that enabling and disabling layers, posters and so... and of course without optimizing filesize...
-
@Nismo Usually not far from the initial spot, mainly moved them around since I wanted to make the boxes a bit bigger on my setup. On some Super Famicom boxes I had they are vertical as opposed to horizontal, so the blank horizontal box sticks out.
-
@Hubz That's because you need to wait for SNES media to be uploaded...
-
@Hubz Try downloading super famicom or snes boxart from https://screenscraper.fr/ these should fit like a charm. I think this is also the media source Nismo is using for his media collection. But keep in mind, that screenscraper does not have a complete boxart collection for most systems. This is why Nismo is creating new arwork for many many games, to achieve a complete media collection.
-
@donkeykong Its kinda confusing to use because it's in french, so any alternatives?
-
Will this theme be on GitHub in the future?
-
@itsnitro The alternative it's to wait for my next upload.
@robertybob I hope so.
-
@Nismo Great! I'm planning to finally get around to giving my theme Video support; is there somewhere with an easy guide to make a theme Video-compatible? It seems that https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Creating-Your-Own-EmulationStation-Theme hasn't been updated with this information yet.
