That looks like an Xbox 360 to me. Spot on.
-
@itsnitro
It's an original Xbox. Good call though! The next step is custom modification to emulationstation!
Somebody also wants me to build them one in an original Xbox 360 case. They oneneill be a challenge since they want to outside to look stock which means I have to reuse the old power brick connector.
-
@masteryoer Looks good. And you just reminded me that I have a broken Xbox 360 in my garage... I might try using that as a case (although I'd prefer something smaller for travel).
-
I have a spare pi1 that I am going to try squeezing into an old Nintendo dsi case I've got.
The 360 will be fun as removing the components from the motherboard is somewhat annoying. I may just end up cutting the motherboard around the components I need and hot gluing them in place inside the case.
-
I just remembered that I have a Wii with me. Perhaps I could turn that into a Raspberry Pi Case? Who knows!
-
@itsnitro What I'd love is a way to hook both a hard drive and a blu-ray/dvd player to a Pi and put them all in the same small case, but so far I haven't found a way to get a disk player to work well with a Pi.
-
The hard drive part is easy. You can just get a SATA to USB Cable if it's a laptop Hard Drive.
The DVD Player part, however, is a little harder. There are many USB DVD Players out there, but I dunno if they work with the Pi. -
The DVD/BluRay part should be easy as well. They make external USB dvd/bluray players. You could easily open the case and retain the controller for it, and use that dvd drive inside of whatever case you wanted to put it in.

Thanks @itsnitro and @masteryoer. I knew the hard drive wouldn't be the problem, but I was looking into the blu-ray player a while ago and it seemed like there were plenty of internal blocks to it (although I can't remember them now). I had thought I could use Kodi to play the movies from the Player, but that had it's own problems. I might start looking into it again.
