That will ruins the theme, the video must fit inside tv screen.
Ahh, didn't consider that.
-
@Nismo Hey! Your portable mode means?
-
@Kischa I use windows version, so you have 2 modes, normal and portable mode, but there is a bug that break portable mode.
If you enable saving metadata on exit, emulationstation overwrites the relative paths with absolute paths for video and marquees tags on gamelist, and if you use your portable USB HDD in another computer, all videos and marquees are gone. (I don't remember well but I think image tags still untouched)
Maybe @jdrassa want to take a look at this. It's a known bug.
-
@Nismo Aha, thanks for clearing that up.
-
@duiz Seems that was a bug from the latest builds, I didn't have the latest build so that's because it's working for me.
See this thread: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/9261/bug-box-art-displaying-incorrect-size-the-first-time-i-enter-a-system?page=1
A fix will be released very soon.

Hey there, tried to install the 720p. So far I'm not getting any video snaps on the theme and only gbc actually has a screen to play video in( which is static) Any advise of what I am doing wrong?
-
@JediAviator
Did you update your gamelist.xml files to add video and marquees tags? -
@Nismo
Negative, how do I go about doing that? Redownload the gamelist.xml? -
@Nismo
In my snes folder, I have a gamelist.xml and a oldgamelist.xml after adding the script from your guide "https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/6589/easy-way-to-add-video-and-marquees-tags-in-your-gamelist-for-video-support" -
Hi,
Is it possible to add player number to the theme ?
Thank you very much -
Download this file and replace the one inside oldroom folder.

You will see the players on bottom of gamelist. I think i'll leave it there for future updates.
Enjoy.

@Nismo Thank you very much ! :D

This theme is exactly what I'm looking for. It looks great and it appears lots work is going on in this space. Thanks @Nismo and everyone who's contributed. Before I download and get started tinkering I'm just curious if there is an update coming really soon? I'd like to make sure I have the latest before getting started.
-
@zmanz the latest one it's on first post, I fixed some things and added some systems time ago, but not uploaded yet because I need to resize the backgrounds in 1080p and 720p and I want to add some more system and upload some videos.
I have been in the hospital, I have had surgery recently and now I am taking rest, that is why I have not been able to update this thread.
regards.

Hello,
I don't know why but I can't get SNES system rom list to work properly. I don't have videos and the interface is not the right one. I've removed all theme and gamelist files but it's not working.
What can I do ?
Thank you :-)
