Thanks, a lot on hand filing actually. I've seen many people do this build and although I'm not knocking their efforts because each one is creating something unique and taking time to share it for others, this USB hub is not cheap anymore and is only getting more expensive now that these projects are popping up. I really wanted to make sure that even though the cables will be covering most of the hole up, that it was as close to looking as if it belonged there.

whats the button in the audio jack? does it do something or is it just a cover? im guessing it has a cool function

i looked at getting one of these hubs but they are stupidly expensive now.

          Wouldn't this fit ?
          It's about 8 euro.
Also Anker has a mini usb hub for similar price.

@spruce_m00se this is something like that. Not sure what good it is for on the pi unless he was somehow able to make it function as a power button or something like that

These guys still have 7 of them at $19.99+ shipping which is in line with what I paid for mine on eBay back when I did my build. Not sure about their reputation though. Some have said good and bad about them.

@obsidianspider shirtpunch's shipping is a little slow but warranty is the best you will ever find. One of our genesis hubs was bad and they said to keep it and they immedietly sent a new one out. We got them on sale for $7.99. It was awesome.

@spruce_m00se with the right configuration it will act as a power button for the PI.

Thats brilliant, I knew it was a smartphone button, hadnt seen the script, im buying some as we speak for my kodi boxes.

I will use that script on my atari 2600 build to shut down! brilliant.

@XVO That's actually not too terrible since it comes with controllers (assuming they work well).
