On my Tronkyfran and Zoid themes, the backgrounds get cut 1/4, meaning that for example I see 3/4 of the Sega Master System background, and 1/4 of the neighboring Megadrive background.

This used to work, but suddenly, after I've been testing on my home TV (16:9) and went back to my 4:3 monitor, this error happened and cannot get it to look right.

Tried reinstalling the themes, and Retropie is of latest release, 4.2.

      Any ideas?

            No one recognizes this issue?
Should I just revert back to my latest backup and try doing the 4.2 upgrade again?

@AndersHP I was able to reproduce this issue. I believe it is caused be a combination of a couple of recent changes (z-index, fixes to prevent white flashing). I will be looking into a fix.

@jdrassa what did you do to reproduce this? Was it simply switching between a 4:3 monitor and a 16:9 monitor?

@TMNTturtlguy I actually did it by accident while testing something else. I launched ES with the resolution set to 800x600.

@jdrassa interesting! I have 2 systems running without modify the resolution, just letting the pi do it automatically, one 4:3 the other 16:9 and they are running correctly. Good find!

I had this issue after updating the RetroPie script, once I updated my themes it fixed itself.

@AndersHP This should be fixed now, if you update EmulationStation.
