      Hi all.

I am building a large(ish) home arcade and some machines I am going to convert to mame due to cost of running them. I have 2 questions if anyone could help:

      1. What is the fastest boot time to ROM initiation I could expect

      2. Is there support for CGA / EGA output or do I use a downscaler?

Thanks very much to anyone who answers

      Martin

        1. It depends. If you want to boot straight into a game, it can be a few seconds. If you want to go through the front-end to select different games, it will take longer depending on library size, etc.

        2. Unsure of the question and answer. The pi only has an HDMI port so it will output at an HDMI compliant resolution and color depth. If you're asking if you can plug it into a CGA/EGA monitor, I'd check the different available modes it supports, but I wouldn't expect it necessarily.
