What's the easiest/best FTP client for RetroPie 4.2

I know basically nothing about Linux, nor have I ever had a reason to use FTP for anything. But thanks to the excellent online resources and some great YouTube videos, I've gotten RetroPie on my Rasperry Pi 3 up and running quit well with a good number of ROMs.

However, I'm at the point now where I really need a FTP client to send files to the Pi or do things like edit gamelist/metadata for the ROMs. In particular, I'm really nerdy about box art, and some of the modded Tecmo Bowl/R.B.I. Baseball roms aren't really scrapeable (because they are essentially customized games).

If all I want to do is send a few PNG/JPEG files over with box art for the missing games, and then get access to the gameslist file so I can direct those roms to the location of the image file, what's currently the easiest way to do that with 4.2? I saw some references to changes made in 4.2 that bricked FileZilla and a few of the other options due to security concerns, but there were workarounds for that. There doesn't seem to be an easier way to simply send files to the Pi with a flash drive, etc. Can you recommend easiest way to get this done with things as they are on 4.2?

@StormJH1 if you have a windows computer, i prefer winscp.

@edmaul69 & @DarkWolf - This looks great, thanks to you two! I think I had just a few more steps to go - I tried something similar to this on an iPad FTP client, but it didn't work. I definitely didn't enable that thing in Raspi-Config that was switched off by default, however, so that's the first barrier to get through...

Hopefully that gets me far enough along the path that I can figure out how to link to the box art using either winSCP or Linux command line stuff.

@StormJH1 A lot of people using Apple devices use Cyberduck. I use Windows so stick with WinSCP which has never let me down. However for something a simple as transferring a few images Samba share might be better / easier.

WinSCP should work for access to the hidden files and transferring the box art picture files. Hopefully, it will also allow me to access and edit (in Notepad) the XML file, supposedly located here:

/home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/nes

Looks like I should be able to do that, based on ETA Prime's video.

@StormJH1 Don't believe everything ETA Prime says in his videos. Use the official wiki / docs for the most up-to-date information written by those that actually know.

Generally the wiki is the best source for informations, yes, however in this case I already watched this tutorial and checked all the steps before posting it here! In addition I thought a video guide would be better than a wiki page.
The informations given in this tutorial are valid for the version 4.2 (and maybe higher ones).
I would say that ETA Primes videos are very good and containing correct informations most of the time

@DarkWolf Well, that's fine if he's right 90 or even 95% of the time. I've heard him give some bum advice in the past on a few occasions. Can't even recall what it was regarding.

@AlexMurphy As long it has something to do with retropie, all I've seen and heard from him was right and his tutorials were easy to follow along... Sometimes he only visualizes and explains the steps mentioned in the wiki/documentation

I love FlashFXP, been using it since like 2000. It's not free, though.

@DarkWolf It's ok, I didn't insult his mother or anything... Not a big fan of YouTubers who declare themselves experts just because they read the wiki. Anyone can do that.

@DarkWolf I know. It's just a personal thing but I understand some people work better with a video tutorial and I have to say some of his videos aren't bad. I unsubscribed from him a wee while ago when he went full time tuber, announced his Patreon and started shilling for anyone who would send him free stuff.

I never cared for ETA Prime. Looks like a handholding youtube page that always misses some stuff you could find out by actually learning by yourself. In his arcade roms "tutorial" he missed the crucial tip to use the correct romsets but he ignores that fact. So, of course, you have people in the comments wondering why their roms won't load...
I laughed when one of his videos is literally READING the retropie 4.2 changelog /facepalm.

@Darksavior Yeah, I think that was one of the instances I was thinking of. MAME is tricky but to miss basics like explaining the ROM sets / Emulator version relationship is just bogus advice.

Sure he misses some points... That kinda sucks, but yeah, like I said... The wiki/documentation is very good and these tutorials are kinda good for beginners and everything else is mentioned in the comment section
