@briandamico so you load it in drive b. (F4)Then when it tells you you can swap drives (f5) and then press whatever key the game tells you to press to load next disc once drives are swapped.

@edmaul69 hey Ed
Ok so I put in a game, batman, 1 disk 2 sides and I got this on the game, and I guess the f4-f5 does not show me what your saying should happen
Says insert disk
-
@briandamico there seems to be something wrong with the version of linapple im using. If i press f3 or f4 it locks up the system . I am going to have to try to update it and see if i can fix my issue.
-
@briandamico i just uninstalled, updated retropie, reinstalled from binary and source and f3 and f4 are locking up my system. Not sure how i can help you since it doesnt work for me anymore.
-
@edmaul69 Ok no problem maybe it's just how the emulTor is for many of these games.
Do you know of a game that your sure works that I can for the sake of learning, start on a disk 1 or disk a and then try the f4-f5 to move to another disk.
Just want to make sure I got it down what to do and I can try the same game so we are on same page
-
@briandamico hold on. I had to replace my config file. It was messed up somehow. I will test and let you know.
-
@briandamico well i got a disk loaded up and it locked up the system. So i might not be able to help you still.
-
@briandamico ok so i dont think its locking up. Because i have so many games listed if it has a game listen in the config file it is automatically going to that folder which takes forever to load. Let me figure out how to get side b loaded
-
@briandamico ok so you have to load side b with f4 then when it says to insert side b you press f5 then spacebar to continue. Batman is messed up though. When you see it go to saying insert disk, you will notice on your fdd icon on the bottom right of the screen that there is no disk. It is actually removing the disk all by itself. Batman is on side a and joker is on side b. So when it gives you that insert disk it is actually because the disk a is messed up. When you choose to play as the joker it goes to saying insert. Side b. However it still messes up and loses drive/disk connection. I tested with battle chess and it works perfectly fine.
Edit: not all disks use spacebar. Adventures of buckaroo banzai says to press return (enter)

@edmaul69 I also remember some titles expect you to type the number of the FDD where you have the disk inserted. Back in the day, I had two floppy drives which made multi-disk access so much easier (think PrintShop Companion, or Newsroom).
