Remember the little booklets that came with games?

My proposal is that you can link a PDF file with the game and you have the option of reading the booklet on the pi to get back story and stuff. Or you can make your own storyline of hacked games and stuff.

This would not be on through an Internet connection, it have the file directly on the pi. I don't know how feasible it is though. Thoughts?

N64 emulation is the next step :)

I think this would be a cool addition to RetroPie but might cater to a niche audience.

We've talked about this many times before and here are a few I found on a quick search:
        https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3477/instruction-manuals
        https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/4385/game-manuals-reading-pdf-files

There was also a more resent discussion that @meleu (and others) gave some good advice but I didn't find that one.

Still a splendid idea but no one had it handled yet! As far as I know, some websites like [deleted] or something are trying to add prints of hard booklets to the games have most easy to find, but I don't think it's sort of relevant. I'm collecting ones with printing issues and trying to fix them with this editor https://ds11.pdffiller.com but there's too much of them so I guess there's no chance to handle it by myself as well. So my best hopes to this community!

Rocketlauncher has a nice option to pull up instruction cards "on screen".
Not exactly an e-reader but it would be nice if retroarch could implement this too.

@rsalois Please don't post links to ROM sites, that's one of the rules of the forum.
