[Video Splash] Retropie-Themed Splash Screen (+ Overlays & Template)

I noticed recently that a vast majority of the video splash screens out there for Retropie are parodies of already-existing consoles, or otherwise are slideshows of popular/famous games with little to no customization options. Now, there's nothing wrong with that, but personally I wanted to try and make a video splash specifically for RetroPie that could be customized, while also looking at least somewhat professional. After a few days of tweaking and experimentation, I completed the splash, as well as all the pieces needed to customize the screen in a video editor (such as Sony Vegas).
The files included in the ZIP linked below are:
- A version of the screen with a generic backdrop
- A version of the screen with some of my personal favourite games as the backdrop (you can use this as an example of what you can do with these clips)
- The first half of the splash, as a bluescreen
- A blank "control instructions" overlay
- Instructions on how to use the clips
- A Sony Vegas .veg file, that has a video splash template ready to be customized.

No reason to try to be something else, when RetroPie itself is such a cool thing. -
Nice idea. "Parody" splash screen are fun and look cool, a you're right, RetroPie should have it's own unique flavor. Thanks for sharing!
