neo geo - saving high-scores
-
Sorry if this has already been asked but is it possible to save high-scores of neo-geo games?
TIA.

@fcuk112 It's not just a catch-all "on" or "off" kind of thing. For instance, some original games saved high score data to NVRAM, but many did not--they would lose high scores if powered down. Yet, workarounds exist even for systems without NVRAM. It depends on the emulator used, whether that emulator supports a method of capturing the data from memory upon exit (such as the MAME method of using hiscore.dat to capture a location in memory and save a data dump upon exit), and whether individual games in that emulator have been coded to enable it.
You will probably have to get much more specific and ask your question with a specific emulator in mind, and with a specific ROM. Someone running that combo might be able to check first-hand.

I believe lr FBA and/or lr MAME 2003 have support for high score saving for the most part. It certainly seems to work for me for the games I tried it out, though I can't confirm whether any of it was neogeo.

I can confirm that all NeoGeo Games save Highscores with the default emulator (FBA).
I had never problems with them 😐
