      I have an original model B which I've had for some time, hadn't got around to finding a project. Now I've found this, an arcade machine seems like a great project! But the ControlBlock documentation says that it's not compatible, which I understand is because the board will not physically fit on the Pi. My question is - would it work if I wire the required pins between the boards with a ribbon cable?

        The ControlBlock also finds on the model b. However, one difference between B and B+ is that B needs a bit more power than B+. Depending on your power supply this might lead to instabilities with the power switching component on the ControlBlock, because the MOSFET on it adds a small voltage drop.
