      Hi

      Could I propose something?

Could we have either an option in the GUI or in a config file somewhere, so that when we do an update via the RetroPie update menu option, it does not re0install kodi in the ports folder.. I dont know if in the miniroty but i always remove kodi from the ports folder after an install so that it does not show in emulation station, but after every update it puts it back..

I want my bar top to be a games station only (not a film playing machine) i appreciate others may see that differently but a simple flag somewhere to install or not kodi would be brilliant...

      Thoughts?

The Kodi install (and subsequently) the updates are optional. I never installed Kodi and no update ever installed it on my system. Have you tried uninstalling Kodi from the RetroPie setup script (and not deleting the folder) ?

@mitu Hi, ah... I maybe doing it wrong, I have tried deleting just the kodi.sh file in the ports folder which removes the option form emulationstation menu but it seemed to re-appear after an update... when I do an update i just do the all packages one, maybe this is my mistake and I need to read more and understand the update process better...

@pixelateddad Check if Kodi appears as installed in the RetroPie setup script, then uninstall it and try updating again to see if it appears.
