I'm thinking this is most likely doubtful but thought to ask anyway.

I just would like to save some cable TV shows and movies to a USB card.

For some reason, My DVD from Spectrum doesn't work correctly on my HD cable box. :/

@addison No, the HDMI port on the RPI is output only.
