Chicuelo Theme
-
Ha ha wow. That is a serious amount of systems. This is a theme designed for use in RetroPie. Only systems which are officially part of the RetroPie install and available via the setup script would eventually or already be supported:
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Supported-SystemsSome of the systems you mention are so niche and not even anything to do with RetroPie, so we cannot expect @chicuelo to create high quality artwork for all of them, because it would take forever for very very little gain. Some of the systems you mention are already supported.
Please see this file for all current fully supported systems and the ones which are partially supported (eg. the ones which will be worked on / finished next):
https://github.com/chicueloarcade/es-theme-Chicuelo/blob/master/README.mdThis is the list being worked from. Once this is done, the theme is essentially complete in terms of bringing it line with other fully comprehensive (complete) themes for RetroPie. Most of the systems you mention above are just not part of the RetroPie install and as such would never be added to the theme, unless @chicuelo disagrees (it is his theme). In my opinion there isn't any point in creating systems for 'WoW Action Max', 'Pop'N Music' and things like that which don't even exist in RetroPie :)
Thanks

Just noticed you updated the first post in the thread with new screenshots - nice.
Any chance you can split that jpg up and replace chicuelo1.jpg > chicuelo9.jpg with new images which will then in turn update the readme.md?
We cannot use the single image on github because I think there is a maximum size limit. I just tried but it truncates it.
Maybe we could put some information from the new readme.md into the first post on this thread, and possibly link to it for more information:
https://github.com/chicueloarcade/es-theme-Chicuelo/blob/master/README.mdI am happy to write something brief if you would like.
Thanks

@wallmachine
I think some of them could be on the list, but there are a lot that are not even systems, just collections like Capcom or William ones. The idea is only having playable systems and the one that are more popular and people play usually@movisman
Yes, I updated the date and the image refreshed automatically.
For the GitHub repo I have 10 separated images, but they don't update because Github saves them on their server, the urls are http://www.chicuelo.com.ar/archivos/chicuelo1.jpg
http://www.chicuelo.com.ar/archivos/chicuelo2.jpg
like that up to 10 (for now)If you like I would add that info, just tell me what :)

Thanks for the reply guys, i got a bit excited the themes dope as. For the systems that wont be supported I'll try my best to create and share them, will you also include the psd or ai files? Also the list would of been longer :) i was going through it at 3am thought i excluded all, sorry.

@wallmachine
Great, feel free to complete the systems you need for your personal use!
In the repo you can find all the separated files so you can easily create the template for the theme, I used photoshop for the visuals and Illustrator for the logos. -
Great, I just edited the readme to add chicuelo10.jpg as it only went to 9 before.
Also, the readme was still displaying wrong images for some on my phone and PC, but I checked it out and adding a ? to the URL of each has cleared it up.
My fork looks good now with the up to date images :)
If you accept the PR, it should sort that issue on the master.
Regarding the initial post, I think we could take some info from the readme.md and put it on the opening post, so that people get more information on the theme straight away. I'll put something together and provide a link, and you can decide whether you want to paste it in - it might be confusing pasting it all here. I'll mainly just copy and paste some sections from the readme I wrote.
Thanks!

Hey,
How about this?
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Woa_RFNSsloA3KdzAaR_oiDxm3da7UeR(text file - if you just copy and paste the content directly into the initial forum post over the top of what's there it should retain the formatting)
Basically a few select 'chapters' from the full readme.
Hope this helps!
Thanks!

@movisman

@sam85461 Post the ES log from
~/.emulationstation/es_log.txt
. How did you install the theme ? -
Hi! I love your theme @chicuelo but I use Recalbox in my raspberry...Could you adapt your theme to Recalbox? Thanks.
-
Great theme! But how can I add the power menu for this? Pls help
-
No worries! The file is still there, but I forgot I could use something like pastebin or similar instead, so here you go:
https://pastebin.com/XEW0Fv0Cedit: sorry, missed the post from @cosmo0 with a pastebin to my proposed text already! :) either of these will work!
Cheers!

@sheyk90
Hey! Im going to see if I could take the theme to the recalbox platform -
I downloaded a script from here!
-
-
@mitu i'm using the emulation station update from this form and i downloaded the folder and pasted it into the themes folder
-
@sam85461 You don't need to do that anymore, the theme is now available from the RetroPie script themes section, so you can install it like any other theme.
-
@sam85461 I had the same issue with portable game station. Just go HERE and download the file "EmulationStation-Win32.zip". Unzip the contents over top of your existing ES files.
In a nutshell, your windows port of ES is too old to support the <origin> tag in the theme.xml files of this theme as well as many others. Since a lot of newer themes use this tag, you should really update ES no matter what.
Hope this info helps you.
