@chicuelo Ah. Okay. I'm not crazy then. Haha. Will that be something you add soon?
Great theme, by the way!

@pittstone Nice! Is this the whole theme plus your changes?
-
@a-bored-ninja Japp.
-
@pittstone Awesome! Thanks!

I have a question, is it possible to make the videos display in their native resolution? Often with some systems which uses video snaps with rez below that which this theme uses for videos, it introduces alot of artifacting and shimmering.
-
@duiz As far as I know, there is no easy way to do that. Sizes of elements are set with percentage values so that they will adapt to the resolution of EmulationStation. It probably is possible to set native video resolutions individually for each system for a specific EmulationStation resolution. But if then a user uses a different resolution the videos will be resized again.
Basically we need another size option for elements. We have<size>
and<maxSize>
now and could use something like<originalSize>
which then will use the size of the media. -
I added a feature request for original size tagging, that would be very useful for themes.
-
@duiz Now that I think of it, I don't know if it would be very practical to use it.
It would only makes sense on smaller screens. I mean if EmulationStation is running at 1080p and you have a video of a game boy playing at it's native resolution, it probably would be a little bit small.
Then we have some themes where the video plays on an image of a handheld screen or tv. If we had native video resolutions, the creator of the theme has to provide different images to fit a variety of screens.I like the idea but it seems easier to me to manually edit the theme to make the videos smaller.
-
What kind of measurement unit does the <size> tags use?

Hi @chicuelo! I'd like to thank you so much for your theme. It's simply...the best I've tried this far!!!
There's just one thing I'd like to ask you (if you don't mind): I'm trying to show the "power off" tail on screen. Now it appears correctly with "2 games" inside which allow me to power off and reboot my Pi.
My concern is that while I see some "power on" "power off" images when I look for your theme in Youtube...I see nothing in mine. I'm missing the image which appears at the low right side of the tail (in the main screen) and the two images (which correspond to the power on and shutdown options) once inside the tail.
Am I missing something or maybe this images are just not included in the theme?
Man thanks once again for your great work!

@sastremarti
Thanks for your feedback! At first the theme had a little icon at the bottom right, but after some progress I decided to remove and the version you are running is the one you should. Systems and consoles are the only who have the controller image, so power menu, retropie, favorites and custom collections don't.
If you look the post images you will have a reference of how its the actual version. -
@chicuelo Thank you so much for your super fast answer!
Muchas tracias por todo!
-
@chicuelo By the way! Any plan to do an MSX tile? Seems to be partially done (typography looks fine...but no wallpaper on it).
Gracias!

Hey @pittstone: thank you so much! They look
[really]
great! -
@sastremarti I have all the logos working, but have no time to make the remaining systems.
I will work on then soon! -
The best theme, one question : in the selection of games, they are without the videos, how to make them work?
-
@lokize Thank you! The theme supports video, so if you have scraped videos you will see them. If you have both image snapshot and video you will see first the image some seconds and then the video preview
-
@lokize Make sure you configure your View settings to
Video
in the Emulationstation configuration menu.
