New Arcade Cabinet Build
-
I'm new to the RetroPie Forum, but not new to the Raspberry Pi. I've been working since the last week of December on my cabinet build. This year for Christmas (I asked for) I was given a Pi 3 and two controller sets. Woo Hoo! After researching different plans on the internet, I settled for my own mashup of various plans. I contemplated building a mini-fridge into the bottom, but opted not to because they have to be defrosted regularly.
As you can see, I'm still working on the marquee. What is there is just a mockup to see how the backlight works with paper...

Powered Speakers - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GHY5JAOI'm using a 22" LCD display I bought from somebody on Facebook. It has VGA/DVI inputs so I used a HDMI -> VGA connector.
I'm thinking about adding two additional USB ports (mounted to cabinet) to allow the connection of two more controllers for 4 player games.
I have a Raspberry Squid, but I'm not sure how I'm gonna use it. Open to suggestions...

Very nice - clean lines, and personally I'm a fan of cabinets where the control panel doesn't extend beyond the edges. Are you planning on any vinyl or other decoration?
Also, a sheet of black card cut to size behind the perspex will help hide the screws ;-)

Looks great! Good job. I am also curious if you are thinking about vinyl decoration. -
Lot's of buttons. Don't like all those colors, but like the wood grain!
