Just wanted to start this topic to see if any of you guys use any type of UPS for your retropie projects.

Any DIY or market solutions that are tested or worth mentioning out there?

I have one of my pies plugged into a consumer grade UPS that I picked up at a department store, nothing special there.

If you wanted have something specifically for the pie you could pick up a battery kit, it you are into do it yourself stuff. I thought about going that route, but I hate souldering when I don't have to.

I am very good at soldering, so if it gives me more options I could look for the most optimal one.

Honestly, unless I did a super huge build, a UPS is just too much work. I'd rather make a backup copy of my image just in case.

Already have a backup that I update regularly and it seems to be the best thing to do.

In case sd gets corrupted, just write the image and done..
