GameBoy SPi Idea/ New in this /
-
Hello to you all, hope you have nice day! :D
So, I have an idea, I want to solder the Pi Zero to GBA SP motherboard just to use original gamepad pcb (so i will get game reader out and all unnesessary things). It is not exactly my idea but I still dont know where to put wires on PI Zero, if anyone can help I would be grateful!
Im new in this, but Ive done my research :)
this is scheme that I will solder but I need help with wires on Pi Zero

I assume you'll want to go right to GPIO. Read up on Retrogame from Adafruit. That will help you determine how you can set up your button mappings.

Oh thanks, ill do it right away

Im really dumbass, but can you make your gameboy power raspberry pi zero? I mean to use battery.. And also make it turn off and on?

@stevanj0001 I guess not, Pi uses 5V, but gameboy has a 3.6V battery so noted
-
@stevanj0001 Well... There are circuits that are called stepdown and stepup changers. Even if this part is long long outdated but kind of LM3350 will work ... but I don't know the maximum current it will provide.
-
@cyperghost Hm, I will try with that, Im novice in this so I really hope it will work as planned :)

You can run a Pi Zero (or Zero W) directly from the Lipo. You don't need to boost it to 5V. That said, the things you connect to the Pi Zero may have different voltage requirements.

@obsidianspider Thanks.... missed that word! Power boosters... There are ready setted boards available from adafruit or some other vendors
