how to synd my mini wireless keyboard to my pi

Guys im needing some advice,i recently bought a mini wireless keyboard and im having some trouble syncing it to my pi,as i have quite a few zx spectrum games on there but these need a keyboard to access,is there an easy way of syncing this,i already have the dongle inserted but to no avail,so not sure if im doing something wrong
