Can't scrape from thegamesdb.net - known problem?
-
@nestor1924 no there is no issue with updating emulation station
-
I updated es. I have retro pie 4.4 and the gamesdB scraper built in still isn't finding anything for me. Any help?
-
@orehruoy Are you connected to the internet ? What is the Emulationstation version ? What game do you try to scrape and is not found ?
-
@mitu
Yes its connected over WiFi and I transferred games that way so it's ok. I am not sure of the ES version but I literally just updated it. I did over Binary first then Source since I didn't know if one was better. I then went to scrape. I tried SNES games (I have a lot and there are popular ones there too.) and it couldn't find any it said. -
@orehruoy Press Start and the ES menu will show up, the version is at the bottom of the menu.
-
Thank you guys i was able to fix it and I had no idea that there was an option to update only the ES package!
-
@nestor1924 Each package can be individually updated, not only ES. Glad you got it sorted out.

@orehruoy
Ignore my post. I must not have reset after updating so it didn't take effect yet. Working now though. -
@mitu how do update the Emulationstation Package ? where do i go in retropi?
-
@Potatopops9 It's explained in the Docs. However, the scraper does not currently work even if you'll be updating right now - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/20613/
