      Hi guys,

I made a prototype a month ago with a raspberry 2, a controlblock and joysticks, and it worked fine.

Now I'm making the final product, and "No gamepads detected" displays on the screen... The only change I made from the initial setup is the wiring thickness, could it be the problem? The wires I used are way thicker.

      Any help is appreciated, thanks!

@calypso You really need to post more information. I made a prototype first using an IPac2, switches, pi etc. etc. It worked. Then I built the thing and although it worked, there were problems. Things this board probably need to know more about:

          1. Power Supply?
          2. Control Block wiring diagram?
          3. Control Block Software install and verification of operation via SSH?
          4. Checking that the common ground loops are present and are actually common
          5. RetroPie version?
          6. Copies of Config files used?

People who write FAQ sheets get really annoyed when someone posts I have built something and it doesn't work, can you tell me why? It's an impossible question. Now I know you said your setup worked but what is the setup? I doubt wire thickeness is an issue but wire length could be. I had power issues with USB cables that were too long.

@rbaker Well, it works now... I just reinstalled everything from scratch. I'm doing an instructable and will share it here in a few hours.
