When I run the general update all the packages are updated: would it be possible to insert an option to disable the update for some modules?
for example I would like to disable the update of lr-mess because it takes too much time and that of uae4arm because I modified some files (the configurations for IPF files)
      thanks :)

Currently there is not such option. You can selectively upgrade other packages, but you can't exclude a package when running the 'update all packages' task.

would it be possible to "simulate" that a particular module (such as lr-mess) is not installed? thanks

@hermit Yes, just move the emulator folder from the install location - in your case /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-mess - and it shouldn't appear as installed.
