      @mitu Hi There,

You are right i correct it in the description. It is a simple 3 B version not a +, aliexpress label tricket me.

Yes, i did not copy any emulators just the ROMS.

I dont understand this mapping, do you mean if i only set up player 1 then player 2 layout will automatically be the same?

i will try this joystick selection tool tonight and get back to you

      thanks

        Yes.
You can test this by resetting the controller mappings - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/EmulationStation/#es_systemscfg-edits - then only map the 1st joystick. Start a 2 player game (NES for instance) and you'll notice - at the beginning - a yellow text message at the bottom left part of the screen which indicate how many controllers are detected and auto-configured. If it's 2 controllers, then the mapping you configured for the 1st controller are applied to the 2nd one as well. You can further test the 2nd controller with a 2 player game and check the buttons to see if they're identical.

@mitu do you mean this by resetting Retropie Setup Script >> Manage Packages >> Manage Core Packages >> EmulationStation >> Configuration / Options >> Clear / Reset EmulationStation Input Configuration

Now this is happening that the joysticks are found but despite i am pressing the buttons the label stays grey and it does not let me configure the input. It does not forward me to the configuration screen but it realises that i am pressing the button:(
update: i can only configure the usb keyboard. its label is black and it forwards me to the configuration...God i am so f...ked

@zhajdu Can you try with just 1 controller/joypad connected to see if you get past the configuration screen ? How did you configure it before ?

@mitu Thanks for keeping the spirit in me! So what i did now is i switched memory card in the PI and on the other PI i have a previously set up image and in that retropie i can configure the inputs. Maybe on the other one somehow the input cfgs got corrupted? but in that case as you advised resetting the cfgs should have solved this.

@mitu Its done, you were right. i configured one of the dragonrise joysticks then restarted the system and know both dragonrise joysticks are working. (its very strange) anyway this does not solve my problem i think

@mitu Hi There! Now the current status is that the controllers might be working although i have not tryed this page yet https://github.com/meleu/RetroPie-joystick-selection/blob/master/README.md
BUT now my layout is set and i cannot insert coin in the MAM4ALL emulator games for example cadillacs and dinasours. which button should drop in the coin? when 1 month ago it was working it was the select button

what cfg files should i copy paste here so you could review?

@zhajdu AFAIK key bindings in Mame4ALL are set from the emulator by hitting TAB (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/MAME/#mame4all-pi), do that to change the settings. Also, the config file is not readable (i.e not text), so there's no text file you could paste here. Grab a keyboard, press TAB while in-game and configure your settings there.

Get a better PI ? For Pi1/0 models, pifba might be more appropriate for your hardware. What game are you playing ?

I'd say that's about right, the game was also lagging on the original hardware. The FB Alpha core has an overclock hack - look in the core options and see if overclocking from the core settings helps.

@mitu Hello There again mitu! Everything is fixed as you mentioned and based on your guideance we had many lovely gaming hours. Now what happens is that I bought Play station usb controllers to replace the classic SNES controllers. The problem with this is that it turned out that the retropie recognises it as Dragonrise joystick:(. So this means that the arcade joysticks and the newly bought play station controllers stick together because they have the same name:( Do you know what to do?
