Hi there. I'm trying to install vice on retropie 4.4.4 . I am running it on a pc and have no problems as yet installing other emulators but vice always fails to install and I get the error message " ( /home/pi/retropie-setup/tmp/build/Vice/src/x64 not found)
      Any ideas guys?

@robbieh Something changed upstream and the configuration/build phase fails. It's not something on your side, for now just ignore vice's installation. Btw, what 'pc' are you running ? Is it Debian/Ubuntu/Lubuntu ?

@mitu just using a thin client I had lying around running raspbian. Going to put it into an old commodore 16 case I have and run some cold games on it. Thanks for the info tho. Hopefully it will get sorted soon

@robbieh If you're willing to give it a try, there may be a solution to get it installed. How familiar are you with Linux ?

@mitu not very good with much of this stuff to be honest. I normally use Windows but just wanted to tinker with this thin client and use it as a little project to make use of the c16 case I had? Like my own little updated c16. That s why I wanted fixed to run. I can wait till it's fixed . I'm sure it will be further down the line?

                  OK, we'll see it fixed.
@buzz - it seems the Vice's configure script doesn't accept --disable-arts anymore and errors out during the compilation (Vice removed the support for it almost a week ago - https://sourceforge.net/p/vice-emu/code/35961/). You want me to send a PR ?

Why not give lr-vice a go? Or is this problematic as well?

@youxia can't see that option to try it out?

@robbieh lr-vice is in the experimental section of the packages - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/#installing-additional-emulators. You'll have to use the RetroPie-Setup script to install it, since it's not installed automatically.

@mitu I have removed the option. Thanks for the heads up.

@robbieh can you try again to install vice ? The error should be fixed now and you should be able to install it.

@robbieh Don't forget to update your RetroPie script first, before installing. If you're installing from scratch again, then it doesn't matter.
