      Hi,

i have a problem with my raspberry pi and the mame2010 libretro emulator. Had installed it as a addional binary package next to mame2003 with retropie setup. The 0.139 roms located in /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro, PS3 controllers are in use, retroarch settings for mame2010 at default.

When I start a game, for example "3 count Boud", "Cadillacs and Dinosaurs" or "Karnov's Revenge" and start to fighting, it happens that the game suddenly jumps into test mode screen and this behavior really sucks. The Dip Switch "Service Mode" is set off (Mame Menu - TAB) and I don't have a clue why this happens ?

Is it possible that a special Joypad Button combo is set in retroarch or mame2010 that I randomly press on the controller during the fights ? When the game jumps into testmode screen only a complete game reset helps to get out of test mode.

Is it possible to completely disable the Test Mode in retroarch or mame2010 emulator ?

      Regards,
      Frank

mame2010 is very broke as far as input goes not sure if older versions work at all. there is a pull request to fix it. here.

        https://github.com/libretro/mame2010-libretro/pull/125

        details of issues are here

again it s completely up to them if they accept the fix or not :)

@shredman I have just had the same problem using a PS3 controller and fixed it by going into the retroarch config > controls, the analog stick buttons were configured to open the MAME menu and service mode. Turn them off and don't forget to save the Remap file (not Core overrides as mentioned in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/15330/enabling-xbox360-analog-controls-in-lr-mame2003/3 )
