If i might ask. Where did you get your get the male usb connectors and the wires from?

Was it sourced from normal usb cables like the ones that you use to charge your phone with or did you buy the parts individually?

The reason why i am asking is that i have the Designspark Quattro Case and i want to add msata to my RetroPie build. My idea is to solder wires on to the usb pads on the bottom of the RPI to an extending USB cable so that it will remain inside the case with the msata hdd.

@hhromic two of the switches are functional, one for power and one for reset. The others are just for looks.

@tpo1990 I got the male and female usb ends off of eBay and wired them up with ribbon cable from an old desktop computer. The ribbon cable works great you can cut it to whatever length you need.

@jon624 Good to hear. I think i can use some usb cables to source the connector from and i might have some old ribbon cable laying around i can use. Thanks for your input.

Nice! I love the 2600. I tried a 2600 build years ago before the pi came out and I used a mini itx board in there, there was nowhere near as much room as there would be now with the size of the pi and I had serious overheating problems due to lack of space for fans etc. Makes me shudder to think I destroyed an atari that I might have been able to fix just for the project to go in the bin.
