I've been using a theme called "Flat Dark", I believe, as a base to work with and editing the images and formatting to come up with something a bit more original. Unfortunately I have lost the source as the last time I worked on this was about a year ago, otherwise I would have linked to it.

I'm not sure if it's RES causing the issue (as I know it sometimes can, for dark themes), but basically I'm having large white areas pop up surrounding posts and comments that I'm not sure how to remove. I'm pretty unfamiliar with CSS and am basically only capable of minor edits at the moment, when it comes to issues like this that require deeper understanding I'm at a bit of a loss.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on where to start to fix this issue? It seems to be a "selection" highlight that I don't know how to edit to not appear, or appear in a way that doesn't clash with the dark theme.

@AndrewEscobar this is a Retropie related forum, not about HTML/CSS. Themes here mean themes for Retropie's frontend (EmulationStation), not themes for Reddit forums.
