@Rookervik It would be really usefull for us, your fans, if you had a github repository (or something similar). So we can download your work directly in the raspi with a simple
git clone
command. -
Herb says that all my wallpapers are already available on the Retropie downloader and he even created a viewer so you can preview splash screens. Just look for wallpapers called "Rookervik".
-
@Rookervik this is some super awesome stuff. you had me at punchout...
-
They're all fantastic, but my favorite is definitely the 'Revenge of RetroPie' Shinobi splash. It's totally rad and makes me want to gleam the cube, electric boogaloo style.
-
Not sure why this one took me so long. Only took about 30 minutes to do today. I was trying to make an HD one but painting the characters was a pain. :D Anyway, StarFox for SNES.
-
@Rookervik You wanted to do a video splashscreen if I remember correctly
-
@lilbud Yeah I got this far.
-
Wow, I thought this would have been an easy one. Just finished "Perfect Dark" for N64.
-
@Rookervik Do you ever use premade fonts, or is made custom?
-
If I'm doing a HD splash screen I'll use pre-made fonts any time I can. This one I used Illustrator and copied some of the actual letters, and made up the rest. They were all angular, so I didn't even check to see if there was a Perfect Dark font. Just started vectoring. :D
The pixel ones are all dot-by-dot custom. It's a lot of work.
Here is the outline in Illustrator. Lemme know if you ever have any questions. Tho, don't know how to get in touch, there's no PM on this forum.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
