      Hello:

I was wondering what the difference between ROM sets for 1942, 1942a, 1942b are? Is there a way to look the differences up? I don't see the point personally of keeping all three if they all work the differences are purely technical and behind the scenes.

I understand the regional differences and how they are labeled already.

      Thanks!

        Sure, try here:
        http://www.progettoemma.net/index.php?lista=&romset=&devfilter=yes&biosfilter=no&mechfilter=no&ricerca=1942&textype=begin&risorsa=all&working=tutti&lett=

I would suggest just running the parent and not clones unless you really need one of the variants.

Please read the Docs before asking a new question.

I'm not really sure the differences between sets of ROMs. I usually go for the parent, which is usually the last set of the ROM anyway. If the game's parent is "World" I just stick with that too.

I think (1942=Set 1) (1942a=Set 2) & (1942b=Set 3) are just dumped from an alternative arcade chip board. Maybe a revision or something. They probably play the same but a ROM comparison might show some differences.
