      Hello,

I’m yet to download and install RetroPie as I was waiting for the Pi4 support, as this is my first Pi and thought that would be the best option.

Currently my Pi is tied up in a project, so I’m going to buy another Pi4. My plan was to stick a Fan Shim on. My question is, if I download and install the image, can I install the fanshim code still? Or should I install RetroPie onto my Raspbian sd, as it’s already installed.

The reason I ask, rather than trying for myself if I’m new to code and Pi’s, so although I’m learning, I wanted advice to avoid wasting hours trying to get a fanshim to work if there is an alternative.

      Thanks

@magzilla The RetroPie image is based on Raspbian Lite, so any configuration/setup instructions for Raspbian will work. Start with the RetroPie image, it should be fine.

@mitu okay, thank you. I’ll get it installed and then figure out where to install the code. Thank you.
