I really need this theme in my life! It is so awesome and exactly what I was browsing for. But I do no see it in the ES theme repository options and the readme on the Github does not seem to explain how to install it, I'm new to retropie... but I am in love with this theme looking at the pictures, please, how do I install this masterpiece?

@90sNostalgia Download the theme using the Code button from the Github repository, as a .zip file, then unpack it and place the result in \\retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\themes. If the folder mentioned (themes) doesn't exist, create it first, the copy the unzipped folder to it. You can then choose this theme from EmulationStation's menu.

@mitu said in [ES Theme] OmegaDrive (updated to v 1.4):

            \retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\themes

Thank you, but since I am using the automount to USB flash storage, the additional retropie package feature to get away from the SD card....
I used this instead after some research

            /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/
            makedir themes
            cd themes
            git clone https://github.com/Arcanthur/OmegaDrive

And it worked beautifully! I had to ofc change vram for ES beforehand.

do I need to run something like

            git pull origin master --rebase

in that parent folder (themes) every time I need to have the theme update?

Yes, should work, though not from the parent folder, but from the theme folder itself.

Thanks for sharing your theme, wonderful looking theme.

How do i change the theme xml to go straight to video and not display boxart for a few secs in video window instead just keep boxart to the left boxart window.

I found the tags for delay and changed to 0 secs but i see a black screen still for a split second. Im not sure if thats a setting or pi4 not quick enough.
                thanks
                Sim

I'm working in some experiments... I'm not a talent designer like @Arcanthur, but the are in some ideas (sorry for poor quality photos of the TV)

                  1. Simplify multilne System Names
                    IMG_20200929_004640.jpg

                  2. Appy system-based fonts to Gamelist
                    IMG_20200929_004911.jpg IMG_20200929_004710.jpg IMG_20200928_195313.jpg

                  3. Atari 8bit gamelist like classic Atari Screen and font (but thinking in another gamelist like next MSX photos)
                    IMG_20200929_004756.jpg

                  4. MSX1 and MSX2 new gamelist (I know, it's a shame, but it's my first attemp, actually there are no different home images for MSX1 and MSX2)

@Arcanthur Do you think you could make a splash screen to go with this theme?

You can't beat the classics(unless you copy them).

This theme is awesome! I love how it looks! Once Wonderswan, Wonderswan Color, and Game & Watch are added, I'm absolutely using this as my main theme.

One issue I noticed is that with the Saturn game list, I see a Saturn logo graphic on the top centre of the game list that looks out of place, overlapping the game list. I think this image is being added in error. I'm using the default white Saturn graphics.

@Arcanthur I'm really liking this theme, congratulations on your idea and talent! However, I'm having trouble scraping the cover and screenshot like how it's featured on your screenshots. Do you have a recommended method? Thanks!

@Arcanthur I'm a huge fan of this theme, thanks for all the hard work you've put into it! I've added a few collections to my system using the templates you kindly shared. I'm sure they're not as slick as what you're able to produce, but I thought I'd share anyway, incase it's helpful at all.

@arcanthur Is this theme still actively being worked on?

@greengriffon I've been wondering the same thing. It appears that Arcanthur has not been online since September.

@Arcanthur Is that possible for this theme to auto scroll the game playlist? For example, after the video snap is played, I would like it to scroll to the next game title.
