I'm interested in might purchasing a Pi 4 this month from the Great Reviews and Wonders I have heard

I read they are around $35

But then on Amazing I see them close to $100

What is the Best Purchase decision for a Pi 4 ?

Also will the same SD cards that worked on Pi 2 - PI3 still compatible with Pi 4

Mainly looking for the Pi 4 with Power cable ?

The Pi 4 comes in different versions with 2 to 8 GB ram. Maybe that's the reason for the price range that you saw?

For Retropie alone, the 2 GB version should be enough. The 4 and 8 GB models are for projects that require more RAM.

All SD cards should work in all Pi models just fine.

As with any previous Pi model, a proper power supply will spare you mysterious problems that may come from insufficient or unstable power. I recommend the official power adapter from the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

@escc1986 a lot of the higher priced ones are bundled with accessories, power supply, sd card, heatsinks fans cases etc. I got mine (4gb) from buyapi.ca, for $64CAN including taxes and shipping. US shoppers are probably best off with adafruit (https://www.adafruit.com/product/4292) for $35, you can even add the power supply for $8, not how their shipping is tho.
