AtGames - Sega Genesis Ultimate Portable Game Player

Has anyone tried modding the "AtGames - Sega Genesis Ultimate Portable Game Player" to use a Pi3 or Zero? I'm thinking of picking one up just to see if I can reuse most of the package.

I've used another Megadrive ATGames product, that looks extremely similar to the 25th Sonic anniversary one, and I thought it was awful.
Bad quality, poor controllers, just generally bad. Might be ok to rip open and put something inside though I guess.

OK well that sounds like most of what I was hoping to re-use :)

That probably explains why it was only $45. I may still try it but I'll have to expect lower results.
