I haven't had to perform a full, blank, from scratch install in ages. So the universe decided "It Is Time".

My grandson managed to yank the micro sd card out of the NESPi setup after he turned it on. The card did not survive the surgical extraction unfortunately. Errors EVERYWHERE. :(

Now I noticed a few things having to redo this.

      • It is amazing at how easy it is to set up everything these days.
      • On the flip side of that coin it is amazing how much you forget after you don't do it in a while!
      • Thank God for these forums.

I haven't had to ask a single question yet. :) I hope this information never disappears. Now - off to change that evil Mega Drive to Sega Genesis!! Retropie Man away!

My sympathies. But after you're finished, it is time to make a backup. ⚠️

@clyde Funny thing is I had backups for each setup - but they were sooooo old... I'm all over it though! 😁

@classicgmr I've included my cabinet's RetroPie in the weekly semi-automated backup of my two PCs and the Laptop. That said, using Linux as my main system on all of them made the addition of the also Linux-based RetroPie not much of a hustle.

(And I just realised how much your last post fits your signature.) 😆 😇

I felt the same way earlier today when I read it ! I've had to re-image a few times..almost forgot and felt like a noob all over again. Funny how we take a few passions in life for granted..haha ! ;-)
