1.27'' Oled work on pi zero ?
-
Hey Im working on a new project and can't seem to find any code to get my Oled to work on the pi zero. I have it wired correctly but am having trouble getting the Pi to recognize it. If anyone has ideas or suggestions please help.

You want to see if this guy has any guides available, or if he will help you.
I found this a while back and I keep thinking I could make something this tiny. With no case of course 😛

@moosepr That was first thing I did lol. I found a tutorial of everything that guy did, software and all and it didnt work with my display. It flickered but did not display anything. If I got a 1.5'' I'm sure it could work but its just big enough to not fit in the project I'm working on the way I want to. May have to bite the bullet and just get the 1.5'' but I would hate to waste the 1.27'' display. Thank you for looking into it though, much appreciated =]

Do the 2 screens both use the same driver chip do you know?
-
@moosepr I have no idea. Oled's are a whole new ballpark for me when it comes to displays. Ill look around and see if I can find anything about that.

I just had a quick look and they both seem to use the SSD1351 driver, but with different resolutions.
Looking on the libtft pages, I can't seem to find a screen with that combination of driver and resolution

@moosepr Yeah I ran into the same problem awhile back. Is it possible they may not have one yet ? If so, I'm gonna have a good laugh. If you have any ideas for a possible replacement I'm all for it. I may start heading in that direction anyway. Also again thank you for your find, your efforts are not going over looked and I know its not a ton of work but it really helps to have a second pair of eyes looking with me. I appreciate it friend.

@thedudester80 yeah there is a little bit of a lack of the smaller screens. I did find this one on eBay, and had it in mind for a tiny console, but looking now, I don't think the driver is supported. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322123114861
The slightly larger adafruit oled screen might be the safer bet, but i know what its like trying to find something the right size, and struggling.

@moosepr yeah I think Ill just do that. Thanks partner. Ill be sure to post my tiny project when I get to working on it. Won't look as cool as it could but I think it will be fine.... I hope lol.

@thedudester80 $30 a go isn't really ideal though. I did a bit of googling and stumbled upon this

@moosepr Hey I found this recently I think it may be the answer to getting the oled screen to work.
