Undervoltage using 5v out pins

Re: PowerBlock & access to I2C pins
I also need to access to the I2C pins, but if I connect the power from PowerBlock rev 2.2 to the raspberry pi via the 5v out pins I get undervoltage. If I sit the powerblock directly on the pi using the 2x6 headers, i no longer get the undervoltage, but the I2C pins are covered. Any suggestions other than soldering directly on the backend of the PowerBlock?

You could try another pair of thicker wires for connecting to the 5V IN pins. That should solve the under voltage issue.

@petrockblog meaning a pair of higher gauge wires from the 5v out pins on the powerblock to the 5v in and ground on the raspberry pi? I am supplying power to the powerblock via the usb-c module.

@bpugh Ah, yes. I misread your previous post and had the 5V IN pins in mind. I bet higher gauge wires from 5V OUT to the Raspberry 5V IN and GND will do the trick.
