I was thinking of an idea for an app, and i came up with RetroPie.
Ideas i am already working on:

The RetroPie forum
The web controller

sorry, there is a chat function in this forum and the owners disabled it that there wouldn't be any rom sharing, and since i will be making an app for them, im not going to do that

the karaoke will be an easter egg!

Ok I got an idea but I dont know how difficult is it, well... How about to make a retroarch "chat" for get people for online games?, something like Hamachi, but for retropie, with the emulators and a chat per emulator... It could be great and that would be a real online retropie

@flop @Redstoner yeah that's what I meant. Something so you can add friends and play games with online. Maybe even dumb it down, so you have to know your friends username/email/ip or something like that so, so you can't just go searching for people, or open it up and have a little online thing, so people can setup games to play in realtime.

That is a great idea, I really like it. I believe there was a project like this I forgot it's name. But it would be cool if you could add friends, chat with them, play games with them or watch them play a game and take over their controller so you can play (kinda like the share play on PS4). Voice chat would be better, but I think this is going to be too much for the RP. I have no idea how long it would take for the topic starter to create something like this.

haha it would be cool if you could play Mario Party (N64) with your buddies online.

An easy to use backup function would be nice too. Something where I can setup all my configs and then be able to back it up right on the Pi. Then if I ever need to restore to say default, I'll have a nice backup ready to go. I understand you can do this already with your SD card, but it would be nice to just be able to backup the configs and settings, since it should be small enough to backup. No need to worry about the roms really?!?! Unless that is an option even with size restraints.

That would be a great feature to have built into app... currently use vSSH Lite on my iphone now, but somewhat limited features.

by "web controller" do you mean controlling retropie through wifi on phone or something else? ...similar to 3rd party kodi controller apps and/or official xbox controller app?

buuut... there was an application on retropie that has a webserver where you could upload roms and stuff, i wanted to implement that to but i totaly forgot the name, halp?
