lr-beetle-pce-fast Still has compatibility issues, is the Pi 5 powerful enough for the regular version?

Years ago when I built my PI 3, I immediately tested it out in two games I know like the back of my hand.
Exile and Last Alert, and the emulator, lr-beetle-pce-fast, had trouble emulating them.
LA doesn't show up till late in the game where it prevents certain game triggers and cut scenes.

Exile on the other hand is very easy to see and replicate, just get to the first dungeon
(From beginning, go far left then up and enter the house, talk to the guy inside the house.
Then talk to your teammates, a large man in a fez and a mage in stripped clothes.
Go south to leave town, then select the Desert on the map.
Walk North into the oasis water to begin the dungeon.)

Inside, due to an error in emulation, you cannot progress because you cannot kill any enemies.
When they die, a loud buzzing sound plays and their body stays on screen.

This is still happening on the PI5, so is there a better emulator we can use with the power of the PI 5?

Yes, you can use the regular version (i.e. the -non-fast).
