      I just did some quick testing of the 4.02 image booting straight from the usb and it works.
      Booting straight from the Pidrive, nice and quick.

      This does require a different kernel, so I'm not sure about kernel specific drivers currently, but standard usb controllers are working.

        @dabone Could you show how to boot retropie from usb or ssd? Different kernel? I am using Pi3. Thanks!
