Connectors for controlblock power pins
-
Hi,
I'm building a bartop and I've reached the point where I should be attaching my power button to my controlblock. I have a button, wire and female spade connectors for the button itself. My question is this - how do I actually attach the wiring to the controlblock pins? I bought some small mini male spade connectors but that isn't correct. Any help for a noob appreciated.
I should also say I guess that I am trying to stay away from having to solder the connections on.

@bengoodson I dunno what they are called, but I used these to connect to the pins on the powerblock, I'm assuming the controlblock pins are the same.
You want the 'female' ended ones. You'll need to snip the other end off to connect to your switch/LED. (Sorry, you're either going to have to solder them, or use one of those little plastic terminal blocks with screws in to secure the wires)
I got female-female 30cm ones, but I guess if you got female - male you could connect them together to make a longer cable. The female end just pops onto the pin, its a reasonably tight fit and won't fall off.
