List of retro games for 4 players

Fantastic multiplayer lists!
There was another post recently on the form here which had a link to a Google Spreadsheet with multiplayer games, but I haven't been able to find it again.
What would we need to do to get these maximum player numbers reflected on the results returned by the scrapers used on RetroPie?
Thanks for sharing.

Don't forget Super Mario War port.
-
@flop Great list. On the SNES list, what does "Port 2" mean?
-
Don´t know, maybe "multitap"?

Most N64 games with multiplayer have 4 player support. I can recommend you the following N64 titles:
Mario Kart 64; WARNING - You might lose some good friends :P I played this one back in the 90ties with some kids next door. You'll have a good time playing it.
GoldenEye; I still remember this game playing it with the neighbors kid(s) back in the 90ties at his sisters b-day party. Extremely funny playing this with your buddies, now the graphics might look outdated but back in the days this was a great game, and still is in my opinion.
Mario Party Series; the mini games are hilarious to play with your friends.
These are the games I remember on the N64 there are many others, maybe someone her has a complete list of it? Too bad the N64 emu is kinda sucky on the Pi but I believe it's just an coding thing in the future the N64 emu's will be perfect.

Not worth to create new topic, as this is exactly the one where I need to ask my question.
Now, could someone create a list of multiplayer games, where all of the players can be in one screen ? What I mean is games without the need for splitscreen for each player, IE, Crash Bash or Bomberman-games, where all of the players can be in a single segment screen.

Well, I would say almost any MAME game which supports multiplayer.

That would be a much harder list to compile. @PetroRie has a good idea and you could perhaps also narrow a certain amount of console games down by a few genres, such as multiplayer beat-em-ups, but both are still likely to have a few turn-based multiplayer exceptions found in their ranks.
-
Well mainly I would wanna examine games, that were in the consoles, I'm not that much into the MAME/Arcade stuff yet, but I'm curious, that what sort of games of that style there has been for like MegaDrive, SNES, N64 and PS1. But if it's too big of job to do, I'll understand.

I have a suggestion to this list: Power Stone 2 (Dreamcast).
To be honest I never tried Dreamcast on a Raspberry Pi, but it's a fun game for multiplayer gaming with all players in one screen.
If you succeed to run it on a Raspberry, please, let us know!

@dd-indeed I would guess that the majority would have all players on the same screen. Bomberman, sports games, beat em ups should all be good. The only split screen game I ever played for Genesis was Road Rash, so racing games like that wouldn't fit, but I bet a lot of the racing games for NES would still be single screen.
-
Okay, thanks for the info. I'll google and try to find some lists and look for the games in those. I'm kinda wanting to create good party game collection, where everyone could play in single screen without any splitscreen.
-
@mediamogul Awesome list thanks for that. I want to try this out for NES.

I bet a lot of them are splitscreen but you can simply search for the games title in Google Image and see if it's a splitscreen mp game or not.
Not trying to convert you to MAME-ism but many of those multiplayer console games are also released on MAME with better graphics and audio.

Well I was going to add to this list but that's the single most extensive list of 4-player games I've ever seen. Thanks!
