I know this isn't a strict retro pi topic but i know a lot of folks use these controllers. So is it just me or do they need recharging a lot? If i leave them around for a couple of days not using them i need to recharge them again . I am doing something wrong on the shutdown or are they not shutting off correctly from retropie? I shut them down by holding the left power power button button is there another way or are these just power monsters?

@gorgar hold down the left power button. They will turn a yellow orange color and release the button after the orange disappears. I really don't have to charge mine often. Maybe once a week I charge them. I have owned mine for a year but I also rarely turn both on so it's hard to track the play time.

i have the little tiny one that is roughly the length of an index finger

mine holds a charge for about 3 weeks and afterwards i have to recharge it ( i mean without zero use)

besides that it lasts me about 22-24 hrs of play time before having to recharge again

I had another controller that was a nes fc30
i think mine had a faulty battery because i would charge it and immediately after disconnecting it would begin to lose its charge.

I had to use it the same day i would play it otherwise it wouldn't hold much of a charge other than 1 or 2 days.
I think maybe the control you had may have a bad battery, normally they should last at least 2 weeks without usage at all ( if not more)
