No Voltage on SNES controller

Hi there,

I got my Controlblock in the mail totay and set everything up with the tutorial and it looks really exactly like the linked topic.
Now i connected my SNES controller and when im trying to test it with

jestest /dev/input/js0

it is not working.

I checked every connection and everything seems fine.
But then i checked the power and there is the problem. It is allways 0V.

Am I missing something obvious?

Did you install the correct driver version? Revision 2.* ControlBlocks need ControlBlockService2, rev. 1.* boards need driver ControlBlockService.

yes I have Rev 2.1 and I installed controlblockservice2, but maybe I need to reinstall it because i downloaded controlblockservice (1) first but did not install it

What does your meter say when you connect to the 5V source at the control block? (trying to determine if the controller isn't getting power, or if it's just not responding correctly, or something else with your wiring)

Measured 5.24V on the Pins right next to the Mini USB Power Port where it is connected to the Power source.

Because this happened to me: Are you sure the controller is good? With 25 year old hardware things can break. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my setup wasn't working and then I plugged the controller into a known working Super Nintendo, and sure enough, the controller was broken. Tried another controller and all was well.

I tried both of my Controllers. They are working on my snes. I measured direktly on the controlblock Pins to avoid any wireing issues. But there are 0V too

@Jeddo So you're getting 0V at the control block pins? Can you either take a picture or make a diagram to show where you're measuring?

Yes exactly. I'm at work right now so I will take a picture as soon as I'm at home. But I measured between pin plyr1vcc and plyr1gnd SNES
To be precise the screws of the cable clamps

@Jeddo Based on this image from the website, it looks like you're hooked up to the wrong side. Try testing the pins on the bank directly across from where you're connected.

OMG that is embarrassing! Nice brain fart on my side. Switched the Pins and it works fine! Thanks for your help!

@Jeddo no worries. I've done worse, sometimes resulting in fried parts. I'm glad it was something easy. Sometimes you just need another set of eyes to look at the problem.
